SPIRIT OF FOOD SUMMER 2026 CLASSES

Join us this summer for Spirit of Food – Summer 2026 with The Arc of Indiana County! 

This program is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and offers a fun, welcoming opportunity to build cooking skills, explore healthy foods, and connect with others in the community.

Come learn, cook, and enjoy healthy summer meals with our cook, Sandra Toy! Spirit of Food features hands-on cooking classes with fresh ingredients, simple recipes, and engaging activities for participants of all skill levels.

👥 Space is limited to 15 participants per class. If a class fills up, participants will be added to a waiting list and contacted if a spot becomes available.

📅 Class Dates
• July 9, 2026 (Registration deadline: June 24)
• August 13, 2026 (Registration deadline: August 3)

⚠️ Both classes will feature the SAME meals and activities, so please register for only ONE class.

Meals We’ll Make Together:
• Cucumber Submarines
• Confetti Corn Salad
• Punch Bowl Cake 

🥕📦 Each participant will also go home with a fresh food box to continue making healthy meals at home, plus their own blender to support healthy cooking and smoothie-making long after the program ends!  

🧺 Special Farmers Market Field Trip Included!
Each class also includes a visit to the Indiana County Farmers Market (South 8th & Church Streets) at 9:30 AM.

• July 9 class → Farmers Market trip on July 27
• August 13 class → Farmers Market trip on August 8
